Jamie Jacobs

Chartered Wealth Manager & Certified Financial Planner

I graduated from UWE in 2008 with a degree in Business Studies and soon joined Max and Ashton at Ifamax, where I could see they were building an impressive financial planning firm. Since then, I have gained experience dealing directly with many private clients across many complex financial matters.

My approach is to try to simplify our often technical and jargon-filled world for clients and make a visit to their IFA an enjoyable experience!

Understanding the need to further my knowledge and expertise, I have gained several qualifications and accolades. I hold the Certified Financial Planner certification, awarded by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), which is often said to be the gold standard for financial planning professionals globally.

I also hold the Chartered Wealth Manager designation, a title awarded by the CISI to recognise senior members in the retail sector at the pinnacle of their profession. I have the title of Fellow through the CISI and now sit on the regional committee to support the provision of continuing professional development opportunities and social and networking events for other CISI members.

Outside of work, my time is spent with my partner and our little boy, trying to make him laugh as much as we can whilst also trying to find the time to watch as much football as possible and eat and drink at all of Bristol’s best café’s, pubs and restaurants.
