Cathy Nicholson-Walker
Technical Specalist
I fell into working in financial services after 6th Form back in the Eighties, having decided Uni wasn’t for me. It must have been in the genes, as I was following in my dear departed dad’s footsteps. He had a long career with Sun Life, ending up managing the occupational pensions department at the-then Bristol head office.
I have ploughed my way through various positions in numerous life offices and financial advisory firms since, before discovering the perfect job for me as a paraplanner in my late 40’s, earning my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the CII as a result.
Most people have no clue what that job title means, so I explain it as being a technical researcher, report writer & compliance nerd.
I joined Ifamax in March 2023 and this new role presents me with a perfect opportunity and fit, to help them move forward and grow, utilising all my skills and knowledge acquired over those many years and I am very happy to be part of the great Ifamax team.
In my down time I enjoy hiking near to my Worthing home, around the glorious South Downs and Sussex coast. I also partake in some fairweather river kayaking in the summer months. I am a huge art, history and musicals buff, and mad cat-mamma to 3 boisterous ragdolls.
